Hey guys, I’m back!!!!!! As a health care provider, I know the importance of taking care of your mind and body, as well as spirit. These past few months I was placed on the other side of that spectrum….a patient. I must say, that I was the best patient ever, haha!! But on a more serious note, you have to take time out to take care of yourself because social media will always be there………………..Now on to the good stuff about must have summer accessories!!

Summer started a bit early for us here in Florida, I would say 2 months early, lol. We have been sweating it out and that is no fun at all. I hate to even leave the house to make a quick run and that is not normal for me. I would go shopping at the drop of a hat, literally, but I refuse to fight with this heat. If some of you guys are feeling like I am, no worries….Below are a few accessories that will have you saying “what heat?”.

First up is the straw hat…you cannot leave home for an outdoor event or the beach without one of these. They not only protect you from the heat rays but also gives you that chic and fashionable look. I am not a hat person, I have a few baseball caps, that’s it!! I decided to get out of my comfort zone and go all out with this wide-brim hat from NY&Company. It’s on sale right now, so ya’ll better hurry.

The straw/basket bag……..perfect for an outdoor picnic, party, or beach day. This trend will never go away for spring or summer, never!!! For some reason, it seems like it is more popular this year than before or maybe I was living under a rock. There are so many different variations such as rounded, tote, cross body, and my favorite….the clutch. When I saw this clutch bag at NY&Company, I had to have it and would you believe it was 1/2 off. Take it from me, I splurge sometimes but your sis love a bargain, okayyyyyyy!!!!

Sunnies……..I love sunglasses!!! I think they are a staple for this blazing Floridian sun and it should be on the top of your list for must have summer accessories. I will share this tip with you….sunglasses comes in all different shapes, sizes and colors so make sure you know your face shape and size. This is very important especially if you are shopping online. To be honest with you guys….I only buy designer sunnies, until about a week ago, a week ago!!!!! Again……….NY&Company came through for your girl with these over-sized shield sunnies and you can find similar here because I think they are sold out now.

Last but not least, this is not in the category of must have summer accessories but it is the holy grail for the summer…..the maxi dress. You can find it in floral, silk, off-the-shoulder, strapless, billowy etc.. It can be dressed up with some heels/wedges or for a more casual look, pair it with some fly sneakers or sandals like I did. I wear maxis year round but summer is my fave…guess why???….The heat!!!! In the cooler months, I just pair it with a denim jacket. This dress was copped from Ross for under $20. You can find similar dresses here.
